Attic

Attic is a German Heavy Metal band in the King Diamond/Mercyful Fate vein, founded in 2010 in Gelsenkirchen. The band recorded its first album, Invocation, in 2012. It was followed by Sanctimonious in 2017. While Attic does not free itself here from the influence of a Mercyful Fate, that influence ultimately remains rather limited to the vocal lines, the purely musical plane incorporating more extreme influences on this Sanctimonious, which is far more elaborate than its predecessor The Invocation. Unlike a Them whose style goes even further in the carbon copy (themes, musical style...), Attic seems able to carve out its own path and in any case delivers with this second album one of the gems of the summer that no fan of the new wave of traditional heavy (NWTHM) can let slip by...
