WebsiteAt Vance was founded by Olaf Lenk, already known for his solo albums, as guitarist for the band Zed Yago and for his participation in the progressive project Centers. The first album, No Escape (1998), already heralded the band's style, but the latter would only truly reveal itself in 2000 with the album Heart Of Steel, which was very well received by the public, as was their following album Dragonchaser in 2001. The band signed with AFM Records in 2002 and released the album Only Human, then went on tour with Rhapsody Of Fire and Angel Dust. Singer Oliver Hartmann then left the band because he could not cope with the pace of touring. Mats Levén, former singer of Yngwie Malmsteen, replaced him. After several months of writing, Olaf Lenk offered up The Evil In You, a deep, innovative and sensual album. A tour with Kamelot followed.
