Audioslave

Audioslave is an American alternative metal supergroup from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2007, the quartet consisted of singer and guitarist Chris Cornell, former member of Soundgarden, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk, former members of Rage Against the Machine. The specialized press initially regarded Audioslave as an amalgam of Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine, but the band's second album, Out of Exile, gave the band a genuine sonic identity.
