BB Steal

Bb Steal is an Australian Hard FM band formed in 1989 in Sydney, New South Wales. The band released the EP Heartbeat Away in 1989 before releasing their first album, On The Edge, in 1990. The band's bluesy side is most present on "On the Edge", placed as the album's opener, notably its acoustic guitar intro that would give no hint that we are dealing with a band influenced by Def Leppard. These bluesy tones bring precisely that little extra to the track that makes the difference. Without being transcendent, the title track remains nonetheless pleasant. But there it is, BB Steal is too much of a prisoner of the Def Leppard influence and, from the very next track, "Big Love", things seriously go sour, because there it is completely modelled on Joe Elliott's crew to the point that you would think you were dealing with a B-side of Hysteria.
