Blackfoot

The band was formed in 1970 in Jacksonville, Florida. It includes two temporary musicians from a then-fledgling Lynyrd Skynyrd. They are bassist Greg T. Walker and guitarist-singer Rickey Medlocke (who was then on drums), who played in the absence of Bob Burns and Leon Wilkeson. The band's distinctive feature is that it counts, along with Jakson Spires the drummer, three genuine Native Americans in its ranks. Only guitarist Charlie Hargrett represents the whites of the southern United States.
