Band formed in 1983 in Newcastle by Lou Taylor and Kevin Heybourne. Blind Fury released a 2-track demo the following year. Some time later, Kevin Heybourne left the band to form Angel Witch, taking Pete and Dave with him. Now alone, Lou joined the band Satan, who were then looking for a singer. Paradoxically, and at Lou's request, the band Satan renamed themselves Blind Fury and in 1985 released their only album "Out of Reach". After Lou Taylor left in 1986 to join Persian Risk, the band took back the name Satan.
