Body Count

Body Count is a Thugcore/Gangsta Metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1990, around rapper Ice-T and guitarist Ernie-C. Guitarist D-Roc, bassist Mooseman and drummer Beatmaster-V rounded out the original line-up. Mixing rap, hardcore punk and heavy metal, Body Count created controversy from the release of their first album Cop Killer in 1992, whose title track, which denounces police violence in the American suburbs, caused a scandal.
