Brothers of Metal

The good thing about heavy metal, some will say, is its sense of one-upmanship: the style fears neither excess nor kitsch, and that is even part of its charm. So when you see an eight-musician band arrive – including three singers and three guitarists – named Brothers Of Metal, with songs like "The Death Of The God Of The Light", "Fire, Blood And Steel" or even "We Believe In Metal", you tell yourself that a new level has just been crossed. You could almost swear you were dealing with a parody band. In reality Brothers Of Metal is nothing but love. The love of heavy metal and its long lineage, from the metal anthems of Manowar to the sagas of Rhapsody Of Fire. Love too between buddies who, initially, gathered above all to have a good time, without necessarily thinking of calling it a music band and making a career of it.
