Cain’s Offering

Cain's Offering is a power metal band founded in 2009 by guitarist Jani Liimatainen (ex-Sonata Arctica, ex-Altaria). It is made up of singer Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius), keyboardist Mikko Harkin (ex-Sonata Arctica), bassist Jukka Koskinen (Norther, Wintersun) and drummer Jani "Hurtsi" Hurula. The album Gather the Faithful was composed entirely by Liimatainen. The lyrics, which he also wrote, deal with human relationships and loneliness. On 25 June, the band announced that it had signed a contract with the label Frontiers Records. Their album was released on 28 August 2009 in Europe and on 11 September in the United States.
