Carcariass

Carcariass is a death metal band formed around 1996, initially from Besançon (France), near the Swiss border. Today, Carcariass could be considered a Franco-Swiss band, since of the band's 3 members, 2 are Franco-Swiss, and two now live in Switzerland. Despite its death metal label, linked to the singer's rather low-pitched vocals, Carcariass has always operated within a very technical and above all very melodic metal, thus bringing together several metal styles such as heavy metal and thrash. Moreover, the older the band gets, the more its albums include songs without vocals, with many very melodic passages. Each album contains instrumentals, notably the album E-Xtinction, half of which are instrumental.
