Channel Zero

It was in Brussels in 1990 that Channel Zero was born. The band's name comes from the title of a song by the American rap group Public Enemy called She Watched Channel Zero. Channel Zero was first influenced by thrash and by bands like early-era Metallica before varying its repertoire further and opening up to other influences from the metal trend. In 1990 Channel Zero released a self-produced 4-track demo including the songs Tales of Worship, Inspiration to Violence, Save Me and Run With the Torch. In 1992 the band signed with the German label Shark Records, which would produce its first two albums. For the recording of the first album Channel Zero, guitarist Patrice Hubloux joined the band.
