Children of Bodom

Children of Bodom is a Finnish melodic death band mixing power metal with melodic death metal with an aggressive voice coming from death metal/black metal. The band's five members hail from Espoo, a Finnish city neighboring Helsinki. The band has only been called this since 1997, before which it was called Inearthed. The band's mascot is affectionately called Roy and represents the folkloric image of death, the grim reaper. It appears on all the album covers. Since 2003, Children of Bodom consists of Alexi Laiho on vocals and lead guitar, Roope Latvala on rhythm guitar, Janne Wirman on keyboards, Henkka Seppälä on bass, and Jaska Raatikainen on drums.
