Coronatus

Coronatus was formed in 1999 by Georgios Grigoriadis and Mats Kurth, and the single Von Englen nur was recorded in 2003. Grigoriadis left the band at the end of 2004 and, with Kurth, the band welcomed two new singers, Carmen R. Schäfer and Verena Schock. Fabian Merkt joined them at the beginning of 2006, as did Stefan Häfele and Wolle Nillies later in 2006. Verena Schock left in 2007 and was replaced by Ada Flechtner. Coronatus's first contract was signed in June 2007 with the label Massacre Records, and their first album, titled Lux Noctis, was released on 21 September 2007. A year later, in 2008, their second album, Porta Obscura, was released on 28 November. Coronatus also opened for several other bands such as Haggard and Within Temptation.
