The band began its recording career in 1986 with the demo Death Cult (with Tom G Warrior of Celtic Frost on vocals) and released five albums on the German label Noise Records. In 1995 the band made known its decision to scuttle itself, weary of the little support that Noise Records gave them as well as of the difficulty of broadening their audience. A self-titled album, at once a mini best-of and a collection of unreleased tracks, would allow them to free themselves from their contractual commitments to Noise Records. The band would nevertheless want to thank its European audience before disappearing by organizing a farewell tour in January and February 1996.
