Cradle of Filth

Cradle of Filth is a British extreme metal band founded by Darren White (Daz), Jon Richard, Paul Ryan and Daniel Lloyd Davey, alias Dani Filth, in 1991. Over the course of their career, their genre evolved, starting with Death metal and gradually moving toward a black metal style. Nowadays, Cradle of Filth is commonly described as an extreme metal band. Cradle of Filth was founded around Ipswich (Suffolk) in 1991 by Daniel Lloyd Davey alias Dani Filth (vocals), Paul Ryan (guitar), Jon Richard (bass), Darren White (Daz) (drums). In its beginnings, the new entity became known under the name "Burial" before opting for "Cradle of Filth" (another band originating from Liverpool already bearing the same name).
