Crucified Barbara

Ida Evileye and Klara Force play together for the first time in the mid-1990s, when they are only fourteen years old. After a stint in a hard rock band, Nicki Wicked joins them. The arrival of Joey Nine in 1998 then locks in the lineup: Joey on vocals, Ida on bass, Klara on guitar and Nicki on drums. The music produced resembles punk rock. In 2001, with the arrival of Mia Karlsson, the band's second guitarist, they sign their first contract with Warner Music Group/Chapel Scandinavia following a concert given on a boat in Sweden. They adopt the name Crucified Barbara at the Roskilde Festival, inspired by an inflatable doll (barbara in Swedish) perched on a cross. Joey's departure in 2003 pushes Mia to try her hand at singing. The band's sound also evolves toward a more metal style. Thanks to the label GMR Music.
