Danzig is an American heavy metal band from Lodi, New Jersey, founded in 1986 by singer Glenn Danzig. In July 1986, during a Samhain concert, Rick Rubin (who was then looking for bands for his label Def Jam) was impressed by the voice and stage presence of Glenn Danzig. At the end of the concert, he put to the singer his idea of forming a supergroup, of which Glenn would be the singer. Glenn refused the idea, not wanting to continue the venture without his bassist and friend Eerie Von. Rick Rubin therefore proposed to sign the band to his label, making musical modifications and changing the name to Danzig.

Crystar

Discreet, Crystar is nonetheless the symbol of Glenn Danzig's solo career. Appearing on the cover of the first two albums, he never came back afterwards. He is taken from an obscure Marvel comic. A royalty-free skull taken from an obscure horror film.
