Dark Angel

Dark Angel is a thrash metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1983. The first stable line-up consisted of Don Doty on vocals, Eric Meyer and Jim Durkin on guitars, Rob Yahn on bass and Jack Schwarz on drums. A demo appeared on the compilation Metal Massacre VI in 1985, and the band recorded its first album We Have Arrived later that year. Gene Hoglan joined Dark Angel shortly before the album's release, and the following year the second album Darkness Descends was recorded on the label Combat Records. Rob Yahn left shortly after the album's release (replaced by Mike Gonzalez), followed by Don Doty at the end of the promotional tour.
