Darkseed

Darkseed, starting out as a death metal band, released two demos in 1992 and 1993. They favoured an unusual composition method closer to an experimental gothic style. Their EP Romantic Tales followed in 1994, and would be reissued in 1998. Their style evolved towards gothic metal on their first album Midnight Solemnly Dance, produced by Serenades Records in 1996. The band signed with Nuclear Blast for their second album Spellcraft a year later. They continued in the gothic metal vein while also being influenced by heavy metal.
