Die Apokalyptischen Reiter

"Die Apokalyptischen Reiter" (in French, Les Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse) is a German folk death metal band from Weimar. Their original style (highlighted on the reissues as well as on Allegro Barbaro) is a blend of death metal and folk sonorities (like Eluveitie) through the use of keyboards. On the more recent albums, the death metal influences are less present, leading to less chaotic compositions (generally centred around a verse and a chorus with a bridge and solo), more stable tempos, longer songs and clean vocals (but not only) offering a softer and more accessible sound.
