Dira Mortis

Dira Mortis was formed in 1998 by Leszek Makowiecki (guitar, bass, vocals) and Krzysztof Karpiński (drums). The band's first demo received very good reviews in the press and on the internet, both in Poland and abroad. It was often compared to Asphyx and Grave. The band released two demos: "Revulsion" from 2001 and "Murder Epidemic" from 2002, and parted ways with Valinor in 2003. They then decided to record the first EP "Architecture of Mind". After the break caused by the problem of finding a drummer, the band released "The Cult of the Dead" in 2011 via Defense Records. Before the new material in 2014, the band decided to release its first demos. The band plays old-school, rotten and minimalist death metal in the veins of Autopsy, Incantation or Cianide.
