Dispatched

Formed in 1992, the band Dispatched worked in the melodic black/death vein of the era and is one of those dozens of Swedish bands now forgotten by ordinary mortals. It must be said that despite its undeniable talent (spotted by master Swanö), the band would never manage to break through, even with a countless number of demos and EPs (including an album abandoned along the way for lack of budget)... Dispatched therefore decided to fit in a bit more (with a new line-up) by offering a melodic heavy/death metal in the pure lineage of the In Flames of the time (late 90s). The MCD Promised Land (recorded at Abyss studio) came out and propelled the Swedes to the forefront of the scene. Thus Dispatched signed with Music For Nations and released their first album Motherwar in 2000 (reissued on Metal Mind).
