Doctor Butcher

Jon Oliva is the former singer and one of the founding members of the band Savatage, as is his younger brother, guitarist Criss Oliva. He is also one of the founders and one of the masterminds behind the Trans-Siberian Orchestra project, and he also founded the band Jon Oliva's Pain in 2003, at a time when the band Savatage already existed only on paper. Jon Oliva is one of the most distinctive voices of the power metal genre and is one of the first artists to have blended elements of classical or symphonic music into the structure of a rock or metal band. His voice has also inspired and left its mark on the genre. One of Jon Oliva's greatest inspirations is John Lennon. Jon Oliva has also taken part, among others, in the projects or bands Doctor Butcher, Avantasia and Saidian.
