Don Dokken

Donald Maynard Dokken (born 29 June 1953) is an American musician, best known as singer and founder of the glam metal band Dokken. He is known for his melodic and vibrato vocal style, which made him an influential figure in American glam rock. After enjoying considerable success with Dokken, he split from it in 1988 and embarked on a solo career. His 1990 solo album, Up from the Ashes, contains two singles and enjoyed modest success. He released his second solo album, Solitary, in 2008, which marked a stylistic break from his band Dokken. Don reformed Dokken in the early 1990s and has continued to perform with the band ever since. He is the only original member still active.
