Dropkick Murphys

Dropkick Murphys is an American Celtic punk band from Quincy, near South Boston, in Massachusetts. Formed in 1996, the band blends influences of traditional Irish music, hardcore punk, oi! and folk rock. In its early days, the line-up included Mike McColgan (vocals), Ken Casey (bass, vocals), Rick Barton (guitar, vocals) and Matt Kelly (drums). Over the course of its career, Dropkick Murphys gained a significant reputation through numerous tours around the world and the organization of the Saint Patrick's Day weekends in Boston during which the band plays for seven days in a row, and which thousands of fans from around the world attend each year.
