Dyecrest

The first hints about this band, which was about to become Dyecrest, appeared in 1993. That is the year when Pirkka, Niko and Jukka composed and played their first songs in the Takala storeroom. One of the songs was called "Iron Heat", which had "a few small influences" from certain Iron Maiden songs ;) and it was also the band's first name. This lineup lasted about a year, until Pasi Kärkkäinen came to play a second guitar and Sami Oinonen began to sing. The band composed its own songs and also played covers of Metallica and Guns'N Roses. During the year 1995, Pirkka began to sing in addition to playing guitar, and the band's songwriting also became more lively, while the covers were slowly set aside.
