Elvenking

Elvenking was formed in October 1997 by two friends who were guitarists, Aydan and Jarpen, both sharing a passion for heavy metal and folk. Despite the quick recruitment of Sargon as bassist, the band ran into many line-up problems that prevented it from developing. In March 1998, Damnagoras joined the band as singer, followed by drummer Zender in September. It was only after the arrival of these two musicians that the band would find stability in its line-up. The first studio album, Heathenreel, was recorded at New Sin Audio Design by Luigi Stefanini, and mixed at Fredman Studios by Fredrik Nordstrom.
