Elysian Fields

Elysian Fields is a New York music band, formed in 1995 around Oren Bloedow (guitarist) and Jennifer Charles (vocals, instruments). The other members are James Genus (also present in the band Dave Douglas Sextet), Ed Pastorini and Ben Perowsky (also present in the bands Spanish Fly and Barhopping). Their albums are tinged with jazz and include a few rock tracks; but the band is better known for its dark, mysterious and melancholic ballads, and the singer's bewitching timbre, which form what is called in the United States dark rock.
