Emerald

The heavy metal band Emerald from Düdingen, Switzerland, was founded in 1995 and was born from the ashes of the two local bands Dark Crystal and Oppress. Two years later, Emerald played its very first concert at the annual concert of the local music school "David's Musicworld" with the following lineup: Jvo Julmy (vocals/guitar), Michael Vaucher (guitar), Adriano Troiano (bass), Thomas Vaucher (keyboards) and Stefan Neuhaus (drums). In this lineup, Emerald recorded its first self-financed album, Rebels Of Our Time, released independently in 1999. In general, the album was very well received. Shortly afterwards, Adriano Troiano decided to leave the band because he wanted to focus on his own projects. A replacement on bass was found in the person of Stephan Kaufmann.
