Empires of Eden

A precursor to the collaborative spirit of Empires of Eden, Marshall contributed extensively to the writing of Dungeon's album One Step Beyond, released in 2004. Inspired by the production and reception of the album, he began studying the feasibility of an international recording project in the vein of Ayreon or Avantasia. Marshall contacted several singers and other musicians, offering them the chance to compose their own lyrics and melodies within a work tailored to their style and vocal range. The album was recorded at Marshall's Frontiers studio in Sydney and notably featured Louie Gorgievski (Crimsonfire), Mike Zoias (Transcending Mortality) and Chris Ninni (a Sydney session singer).
