Entombed

Entombed was founded in 1987 under the name Nihilist by Nicke Andersson and Alex Hellid. They begin their career as pioneers of the Scandinavian death metal scene. Over the years, they would incorporate hardcore punk and "Motörhead-like" elements to arrive at a "Death 'n' Roll" style. The first album Left Hand Path made Entombed a cult death metal band. The next one, Clandestine, is the logical continuation of Left Hand Path; both albums are mentioned by some for their "electric saw" guitar sound. Starting with Wolverine Blues, the band begins to move away from the death metal of its beginnings, which would be amplified with To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth, the last album with Nicke Andersson.
