Eths

Eths (stylized eths) is a French extreme metal band, originally from Marseille, in the Bouches-du-Rhône (Provence). In its early days, Eths released several maxi CDs, the most famous of which is Samantha, and put out its first true album, Sôma. The band is often on the road and strings together tours; it performs throughout France as well as in Europe. The voices of singers Candice and Rachel are split between melodic parts and guttural parts. The musicians, for their part, strive to create an atmosphere that is at times unwholesome with a very heavy sound, at times softer and more melodic as in Ailleurs c'est ici or L'instant sourd, which still remains within the oppressive atmosphere that characterizes the quintet's music. The band announced its break-up on 30 November 2016 after a final concert on 5 April 2017.
