Evanescence

Evanescence is an American heavy metal band, originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. It was formed in 1996 by singer Amy Lee (current leader) and musician Ben Moody (former member). After several independent albums, the band released its first studio album, Fallen, on the Wind-up Records label in 2003. Fallen has sold more than 17 million copies internationally and helped the band win two Grammy Awards out of seven nominations. A year later, Evanescence released its first live album, Anywhere but Home. In 2006, the band released its second album, The Open Door, which has sold 5 million copies.
