Ex Deo

Ex Deo is the name of a Canadian Death metal supergroup originally from Montreal and formed in 2008. The band draws inspiration from history as well as Roman myths and legends, both in its lyrics and on stage (each member performs on stage in Roman armor). It is worth noting that four of its members are also part of the Death Metal band Kataklysm. Ex Deo was formed in 2008 by Maurizio Iacono as a side project of his other band Kataklysm. After a first single of the song Romulus, the band released its first album, Romulus, on June 19, 2009 on the Nuclear Blast label. In October 2009, the band was announced for Paganfest in Europe.
