Exumer

Exumer is a German thrash metal band formed in 1985 in Wiesbaden. The name Exumer was chosen after Mem von Stein's father suggested they take Exhumer and remove the h so that the name would be their own. The first album, Possessed by Fire, is comparable to Into the Dark Past by Angel Dust; the second, for its part, is more marked by the influence of Slayer, especially because of Paul Arakaki's voice, similar to that of Tom Araya. After this album, the band split but would reform in 2001 on the occasion of Wacken Open Air. In 2009, Exumer made a demo called Waking The Fire. An album was released on 6 April 2012 titled Fire & Damnation, their first album in 25 years since Rising from the Sea (1987).
