The band was founded in Sande, a small town in northern Germany near Wilhelmshaven, in June 1983. At the time, many new bands were flooding the German scene. The cassette, recorded in February 1984, was sent to independent labels and drew many positive reactions. The only reason the band was not signed was because they sounded far too much like Accept. With the exception of Axel Thubeauville of Earthshaker Records (which was a division of Mausoleum Records), who was interested in signing the band. Thanks to him, they got the green light to record their first album "As a Matter of.... Fact". And in September 1984, their first album came out.
