Faster Pusycat

Faster Pussycat was formed in Hollywood by Taime Downe during the boom of glam metal and glam punk in the 1990s. The first incarnation of the band comprised Downe and Greg Steele, accompanied by Brent Muscat. The band's name is inspired by the title of Russ Meyer's film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. After several lineup changes, Faster Pussycat comprised Downe (vocals), Steele (guitar), Muscat (guitar), Kelly Nickels (bass) and Phil Wostrel (drums). Before recording their first album, Kelly Nickels had a motorcycle accident that broke his leg in seven places. Nickels was replaced by Eric Stacy, of Champagne. Shortly after, Nickels joined L.A. Guns.
