Fastway

The name Fastway is a contraction of the names of its founding members, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, former guitarist of Motorhead, and Pete Way, former bassist of UFO. Singer Dave King (Flogging Molly) and drummer Jerry Shirley (ex. Humble Pie) would join them. The band was founded in 1983. After the release of the first album in April 1983, the band went on tour with sessionman Alfie Agius on bass; he was replaced at the end of the English tour by Charlie McCraken (ex. Taste). In 1987, Fastway would compose the original soundtrack for the film Trick Or Treat; the film was a flop, but the quality of the music revived the band.
