First Fragment

First Fragment is a Canadian technical death metal band originally from Longueuil in Quebec. Its music is characterized, besides the typical traits of technical death metal, by the inclusion of neoclassical and flamenco music, either for entire tracks or as inclusions within more specifically metal parts. Formed in 2007, First Fragment released its first album in 2016, Dasein, after having put out two demos and an EP, The Afterthought Ecstasy. In 2019, the band, signed to the Unique Leader Records label, set off on a 23-date European tour (Diluvium Europa), accompanied by three other metal bands.
