Genitorturers

Genitorturers is an American band originally from Orlando, Florida, formed in the early 1990s that moves musically between hardcore and industrial metal, with visuals and lyrics inspired by fetishism and sado-masochism. Led by blonde singer Gen, the band was noticed by Nick Turner (drummer of The Lords of the New Church), who was then working for the label IRS, and recorded its first album, 120 Days of Genitorture, in 1993 with the help of sound engineer Dave Ogilvie (who collaborated with Marilyn Manson). The guitars are aggressive, the vocals a bit forced and the production honest, but the Genitorturers mainly drew attention at the time for their fetishistic array and delirious stage performances during which singer Gen harangues the crowd in suggestive outfits.
