Golem

Golem is a German extreme death metal band. They took part in the Chronical Moshers Open Air 2007 festival. They should not be confused with a German progressive rock band of the same name from the 1970s. The band formed in 1989 in Buckow, Brandenburg (then still in East Germany). Two of the members died in car accidents, Max Grützmacher in 1992 and Jens Malwitz in 1993. The band was reformed and, for its first album, received a contract with the East German label Invasion Records. After this label stopped producing records, they found themselves without a contract again, but they were able to secure another contract through the German label Nuclear Blast.
