Gorefest

Gorefest is a Dutch Death metal band that took a hard rock turn, then heavy metal, before finally returning to Death metal. It formed in Zeeland in 1989. Considered one of the pioneers of Death metal in its country, it quickly evolved toward a more hard rock register, before returning to Death metal in 2005. Despite the opportunity of an opening tour for Judas Priest in 1998, it would fail to rise into the leading pack and would split up at the end of that same year. It then quickly fell into oblivion. Under the impetus of the label Nuclear Blast, it reformed in 2004 for a few concerts. A new album was released in 2005. The band split up again in 2009.
