Gotthard

Gotthard is a Swiss metal band composed in 1989 of Steve Lee, Marc Lynn, Hena Habegger, Leo Leoni and Mandy Meyer. The band toured in Switzerland until the day they crossed paths with Marco Antognini, who became their manager. Over the months, he enabled them to land more concerts and the recording of the first LP naturally began after meeting their producer: Chris Von Rohr, bassist and founder of Krokus. The first eponymous album would be recorded in the States at Fortress Recorders Studios (Hollywood). Signed by BMG, the record became a gold record in Switzerland and Gotthard would open for Victory, Magnum and Bryan Adams. Two years later, Gotthard recorded its second album Dial hard, whose success gave it the opportunity to perform at various European festivals. Followed in 1996 by G, which allowed the band to tour in Japan.
