Griffin

Griffin is a metal band from San Francisco, California, USA, which was one of the first bands of the US Power Metal genre. They were initially formed under the name Sinister Savage in 1980 and changed their name to Griffin in 1982. A few demos were produced, which led to the release of their first full-length album Flight of the Griffin in 1984. It was followed by Protectors of the Lair in 1986, which was Griffin's last release until 2011, when an archival single was released. No new material has been produced, even though the band is still known to be active.
