Grip Inc. is a groove metal/thrash metal band, and a side project of Dave Lombardo, the drummer of Slayer. Formed in 1993, the band is currently signed to the SPV Records label but has never had a prolonged period of activity since it was formed; its future is uncertain owing to other important projects pursued by Dave Lombardo, in particular Slayer and Fantômas. Former Grip Inc. singer Gus Chambers took his own life at the age of 52 on 13 October 2008.
