Guillotine

Guillotine is a Swedish thrash metal band from Umeå, founded in 1995 under the name Holocaust. The band was founded in 1995 by singer and guitarist Fredrik Mannberg and bassist Nils Eriksson as a side project to Nocturnal Rites under the name Holocaust. After a few rehearsals, the band changed its name to Guillotine and released its first demo, Under the Guillotine, in 1995. This helped the band sign a contract with Necropolis Records. Drummer Efraim Juntunen joined the band and work on the first album began. The album was released in 1997 under the name Under the Guillotine. From 1998 onward, Fredrik Mannberg and Nils Eriksson focused again on Nocturnal Rites, so the Guillotine project had to be put on hold for the time being.
