Guitar Zeus

Carmine Appice, born on 15 December 1946 in Brooklyn (New York), is an American rock drummer. He is notably known for having been part of Vanilla Fudge, of Beck, Bogert & Appice, and for having backed Rod Stewart and Ted Nugent. Appice rose to fame in the late 1960s as the drummer of the psychedelic rock quartet Vanilla Fudge. Appice and bassist Tim Bogert then helped build the band's basic harmonies. After five albums, the two musicians left the group to create Cactus, with Rusty Day on vocals and Jim McCarty on guitar, and from the Buddy Miles Express. He plays on and co-writes several of Stewart's hits, such as Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? He also makes appearances with the bands King Kobra and Blue Murder alongside John Sykes.
