Halford is the third solo project of Rob Halford, the singer of the heavy metal band Judas Priest. This project marks a kind of return to the roots for Rob Halford, who then took up composing again in traditional, "pure and hard" heavy metal, a genre he had begun to abandon in Judas Priest.
