Heaven & Hell

Heaven and Hell was a British-American heavy metal band born from the reunion of several former members of Black Sabbath in 2006. It was the same lineup that made up Black Sabbath in 1979–1982 and 1990–1992 (Ronnie James Dio on vocals, Tony Iommi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass and Vinny Appice on drums). The band was dissolved after the death of Dio on 16 May 2010, from stomach cancer. The formation of this band, whose last split-up dated back to 1992, was initially meant to be merely a pretext for an international tour aimed at promoting the release of a compilation titled "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years", which features as a bonus three tracks co-written by Tony Iommi and Ronnie James Dio especially for the occasion.
