Heavens Edge

Formed in Philadelphia in April 1987 by guitarist Reggie Wu and singer Mark Evans. They were joined by David Rath on drums, Steven Parry on guitar and George 'GG' Guidotti on bass. After a few concerts in local clubs, the band recorded a 5-track demo that would appear on their first self-titled album after signing with Columbia Records. After changing labels for their second album, Heavens Edge recruited Jimmy Marchiano to replace Steven Parry. But labels and media were more interested in grunge and the alternative style. Capitol Records dropped the band. Reggie, Dave and GG hired Shaun Carmen to form American Pie with a sound more in tune with the 90s. For lack of a contract, the band split up.
